Dropped into the dramatic terrain of the private concession of South Africa’s Kruger National Park the Lebombo Lodge combines chic minimalist design with the natural landscape through the panoramic glass walls and stunning views. Tastefully decorated with contemporary furnishings that have been selected to complement and balance the natural scenery, each of the suites feature their own raised private viewing deck giving you a sense of weightlessness as if floating between the river and the sky.  The two family suites, hidden beneath the trees on the riverbank each offer a private plunge pool and can be combined into a four bedroom villa for larger groups and families looking for an exclusive and private stay.

About The Area

Based in the north east of South Africa, close to the border of Mozambique, Lebombo Lodge is located in a 33,000 acre private concession of the Kruger National Park beside the N’wanetsi River.

At 19,485 square kilometres Kruger National Park is one of the largest national parks in the world! The high populations of animals has given the park world renowned status and is home to the rare and endangered African wild dog, elephants, rhinos, leopards, lions and cheetahs to name but a few as well as a diverse variety birdlife. 

There’s plenty to do and see included in your stay with daily game drives, walking safaris and birdwatching. Below are just a few suggestions of daily activities available with Lebombo Lodge:

Meet the hosts

Founded by Luke Bailes, Singita have been preserving African wilderness for over 25 years across six regions. Singita proudly operate 13 lodges and camps, each with their own unique experience and landscapes to provide guests with a life changing safari experience that will transform their outlook as well as leaving a long lasting positive impact on the community and conservation of the natural area. 

How To Get There

Due to the remote area Lebombo Lodge can arrange your journey with scheduled flights or private charters to the lodge. 

Air: Direct flights are available from Johannesburg (1hr 30mins) or Nelspruit (45mins) airports to the Satara Airstrip, which is approximately a 40 minute drive from the lodge, where a member of Singita staff will be waiting to take you to the lodge by safari jeep. Please note that due to the small aircraft luggage weight restrictions of 20kg apply

Drive: It is possible to drive to the lodge from Johannesburg (8hr drive) or Hazyview (3-4hr drive). Driving directions can be provided by the lodge with your booking confirmation.
