On the plains of the Serengeti the Singita Explore camp offers exclusive safari experiences at a pace and location suited to you. Spacious and luxurious, each of the six tents have been custom designed to deliver the height of luxury and style with contemporary finishings in authentic surroundings. The exact location of the camp will be set in accordance with the season, movement of wildlife and your own individual preferences to ensure you get the best possible experience and memories that will stay with you forever. 

During your stay you will be totally immersed in the sights and sounds of the Serengeti, sleeping amongst the wilderness and dining under the stars. Your days will be filled with adventure as you head out on jeep and walking safaris with your own professional guides and trackers to help you witness the true nature of the African wildlife, whether you want to follow a pride of lions, witness the wildebeest & zebra migrations or get an insight into the lives of elephants. You will also have the opportunity to join in with a community visit to learn about Tanzanian culture and see for yourself the positive impact tourism has made in the region.

About The Area

Located on the plains of Tanzania’s Serengeti this tented camp will be located in accordance with the season, movement of wildlife and your individual preferences for a tailor made bespoke safari.         

Based in the north of the country, along the border with Kenya, the Serengeti is home to just about every African animal you can imagine as well as over 500 species of birds. The area is famed for the annual wildebeest migration, one of the most spectacular events in the natural kingdom. As well as an abundance of big predators the area also has a high diversity of plant and herbivore habitats and an ever changing landscape of riverine forests, swamps and grasslands giving a new experience of dramatic and shifting sceneries. 

As the Explore camp is located in accordance with the seasons and wildlife activity and bookable by only one group at a time you will have a unique tailor made experience at your own pace. There’s always something new to see and discover in the Serengeti, below are just a few experiences offered at the camp:

Meet the hosts

Founded by Luke Bailes, Singita have been preserving African wilderness for over 25 years across six regions. Singita proudly operate 13 lodges and camps, each with their own unique experience and landscapes to provide guests with a life changing safari experience that will transform their outlook as well as leaving a long lasting positive impact on the community and conservation of the natural area. 

How To Get There

Due to the remote area Singita can arrange your journey with scheduled flights or private charters to the lodge. 

Air: Flights can be arranged from Kilimanjaro (1hr 15mins) or Arusha (1hr) to the Singita Sasakwa Airstrip where a member of Singita staff will be waiting to take you to the camp by safari jeep approximately 45 minutes away. Please note that due to the small aircraft luggage weight restrictions of 15kg apply
