Ethical Holiday's Review....A Slice of Paradise!
We visited Munduk Moding Plantation for 2 nights in March 2019 and loved this place! From the moment we arrived the friendly staff took care of everything and had a delicious ginger and lemongrass coffee ready and waiting for us (this is something you have to try!). Our 1 Bed Villa was perfect - large, clean and cool, with floor to ceiling panoramic views of the jungle surroundings from our bed and a huge en-suite with bathtub and shower with skylight.
The view from the infinity pool and restaurant skylounge were absolutely jawdropping - we could sit there from sunrise to sunset just watching the clouds and never get bored of the views across beautiful greenery and out to the distant mountains of North Bali and Java.
Everyday there were several activities to choose from, all included with the room price which we loved. We went on the bird watching and plantation tour with Putu who was great and taught us loads about the plants and wildlife in the area. We also watched the local children practice Balinese Dance, learnt how to tie our sarongs correctly and watched the coffee production process. The activities changed everyday so you always have something new and fun to learn or experience.
Breakfast was incredible - there's so much to choose from, and each option (American, Balinese or Indonesian style) comes as a 3 course meal. All the food served in the restaurant was absolutely delicious, fresh from the gardens and beautifully presented. The restaurant staff were really friendly, always having the time for a chat and to teach us a few key Indonesian and Balinese words.
What We Loved - We loved pretty much everything about our stay at MMP. Absolute luxury, first class food and lots of things to do. We loved how much privacy our room had, how cool it was despite having panoramic glass windows on nearly all sides and the coffee in the room was honestly some of the best we've ever tasted.
The Worst Bits - The Infinity Pool is a victim of its own success with absolutely everyone having their photos taken constantly which can be exhausting to watch all the time and will probably put you off having a swim due to the fear of ruining other peoples photos. But really if your biggest complaint is how nice the pool is then you're not doing too badly!!
