Overview

Wake up to the sounds of nature in a cosy glamping pod and take in the views over an alfresco meal on your private patio after a day exploring the Peak District.  Each compact pod is carefully situated so you can make the most of the peaceful surroundings during your stay, sat in their own secluded area of the farm. These pods contain everything you need for a relaxing stay, with an outdoor dining area, barbecue and firepit. Built with the environment in mind, heating and electricity is powered with green energy using the farms wind turbine. Separate shower rooms, basic kitchen and communal room stocked full of local information, books, childrens toys and an honesty shop for any forgotten essential items can all be found just a few metres from your pod. 

Set in a rural farm, surrounded by fields with stunning views stretching across the valleys down to Carsington Water, Mulino Pods is perfectly located to discover the Peak District and its many hiking and cycling trails. Both children and dogs are welcome here, making this the perfect relaxing getaway for families looking to get close to nature

About The Area

Mulino Pods is based on a rural farm on the edges of the Derbyshire Peak District amongst rolling hills and just a few miles from the picturesque town of Ashbourne with its quaint cobbled streets, cafes and shops. The Peak District has fantastic walking trails and cycle routes with stunning scenery in just about every direction as well as a huge variety of visitor attractions in the area, including historic houses, museums and caves.  

With countryside walks and cycle paths to enjoy right from your doorstep during your stay we’re sure you’ll have plenty to keep you active but if you’re looking to explore the wider area here’s a few suggestions to get you started: 

• Go underground in the  Blue John Cavern & Treak Cliff Cavern - the only place in the world where the semi-precious Blue John Mineral can be found

• Get high over the Heights of Abraham and take a cable car over the deep limestone gorge

• Explore the heather moorlands and rolling hills of the Peak District National Park 

• Head over to the Stately Chatsworth House and discover art, sculptures, maze and expansive gardens

• Visit the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Sir Richard Arkwright's Mills for an educational day out 

• Get active at Carsington Water and try your hand at Kitesurfing, Kayaking or Stand Up Paddleboarding

How To Get There

Public Transport - The nearest train stations are Derby, Belper or Uttoxeter where you can catch a bus to the town of Ashbourne, approximately 5 miles away.  From here you will need to arrange for a taxi to take you to the farm.  As the farm is based in a rural location the nearest bus stop is in the village of Kniveton, approximately 35-45 minutes walk along country footpaths
