About The Area
Located on the Island of Dominica in the Caribbean, set amongst tropical gardens and banana plantations Jungle bay is perched above the stunning Soufriere Scotts Head Marine Reserve. Formed from a natural volcanic crater the Marine Reserve is home to a diverse collection of corals, tropical fish and offers incredible snorkeling, diving and free-diving as well as kayaking adventures.
Dominica (not to be confused with Dominican Republic) is unlike any other island in the Caribbean. Known as the Nature Island due to its lush and diverse rainforest and protected national parks the island offers a wealth of natural wonders with its volcanic peaks, Boiling Lake, rainforests and sparkling waterfalls. As well as having incredible landscapes the island is also a cultural hotspot with celebrations of music, friendly people and is one of the safest places to visit in the Caribbean.
There’s lots of stunning scenery and adventures to be had during your stay, in fact we think you’re biggest problem during your holiday will be trying to cram everything in! Here are a few suggestions to help inspire you:
Take a trek to one of the many waterfalls on the island
Go swimming or take a natural shower at Victoria Falls
Challenge yourself with a hike through the Valley of Desolation to the Boiling Lake
Explore an underwater world with snorkeling and diving activities
Be amazed with whale and dolphin watching tours
Chill out at Mero, known for its unique black sand beach. Visit on Sunday afternoon to experience the local bbq and ‘Limin’ (hanging out / chilling) with the friendly community
