About The Area
Cottar's is located in it's own private 7608 acre Olderkesi Conservancy which borders the Masai Mara National Reserve in Southwestern Kenya. With grassy plains and rolling hills, the reserve is home to a number of endangered species including rhinos, elephants, lions, cheetahs and hippos. This area is also known for the high numbers of wildebeest during the great annual migration. Nearby the camp are a few Maasai villages (enkangs) giving you the opportunity to learn about the culture and traditions of the Maasai People.
There are plenty of opportunities for adventure within the reserve with safari game drives, guided bushwalking and cultural visits all included with your accommodation you so won’t be stuck for things to do, however if you’re looking to experience it all here are a few suggestions of nearby activities
