Volunteer in a school or Children’s Centre to help kids learn new skills and languages. During your stay you will have a unique opportunity to experience Thai culture first hand, learn a new language and make lasting friendships. There’ll plenty of free time during your stay to head out and explore jungles, shop in the local markets, visit Buddhist temples or relax on the nearby deserted beaches.
A Typical Day - You will arrive at school for the morning assembly before working with the Thai English teacher to help children learn English and other skills. This can be done in a number of ways including using games and music as a learning tool. Lessons end at 3pm giving you a chance to chat with your new co-workers or play with the children before heading back to your apartment or to one of the nearby attractions.

Working day – Monday to Friday 8am - 3.30pm
Price – 2 weeks from 17,050 – 22,330 Thai Baht (approx. £392 - £500)
What’s Included? – Full support and orientation from the Andaman Team, Lunch on school days, accommodation, daily transportation to your placement (this could be via bicycle, car or local school bus) and a donation to the school

Your Accommodation
Accommodation is included and will be allocated depending on your chosen placement, however it is likely that you will be housed in apartment style housing in Karaburi Town. Please note that the accommodation does not have access to kitchen facilities and lunches are only provided during school days.

About The Area
You will be based in Karaburi Town in the Surat Thani Area – this is considered one of the most beautiful areas of Thailand close to Khao Sok National Park and beautiful deserted beaches.
A wide range of eco-tours can be arranged through Andaman Discoveries including trips to Khao Sok National Park and boat trips to Surin and Phrathong Islands.

How To Get There
Travel in Thailand is relatively easy and you’ll find most people will help you get to the right bus terminal for your destination. If you’re unsure ask your hotel to arrange a booking on your behalf, alternatively Andaman Discoveries can provide internal transfers at an additional cost upon request.
